Overview

The Regional UNICOR Specialist is responsible for leading the sales efforts for Humanscale’s traditional product line into UNICOR federal government end user accounts within their territory: including keyboards, seating, monitor arms, lighting, sit/stand and ergo tools. Representatives are responsible for educating their prospects and customers on the benefits of ergonomics, and leveraging that knowledge in the sale of our products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Educating, marketing and selling the value of ergonomic workplace solutions and UNICOR to federal government end-users, architects and designers, and the UNICOR sales force
  • Maintain appropriate sales activity levels at all times; minimum 10 sales appointments per week
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability and product mix sales goals
  • Develop business plan with management for weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic sales objectives
  • Set up product tests or demo’s for end-users as necessary
  • Facilitate presentations for prospective clients
  • Completing sales activity & opportunity reports, sales order paperwork, installation assistance, and sales training as well as maintaining customer contact database
  • Works closely with UNICOR as a liaison between customer service and the customer on shipment and quality matters
  • Facilitate UNICOR sales training sessions on ergonomics & Humanscale products to sales reps within the region
  • Lead strategic business and forecasting discussions with UNICOR sales reps and management with region to meet UNICOR sales goals, establish new accounts and grow existing customer sales
  • Establishing relationships and educating Architect & Design Firms on UNICOR and ergonomic workplace solutions
  • Strong understanding of all of Humanscale’s products and consulting services, including task seating, keyboard supports, flat panel monitor arms, task lighting, CPU holders, sit/stand solutions and other ergonomic work tools

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of office furniture sales experience to Government agencies
  • Bachelor's degree, business, marketing or communications major preferred
  • Successful sales track record
  • Working knowledge of MS OFFICE and associated applications are required
  • Ability for overnight travel regionally 50%+s

 

  
 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid understanding of ergonomic principles, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Highly motivated, with aggressive follow-up and closing skills
  • Government sales and contracting experience
