Overview

The Director of Global Sales is responsible for Global Account sales growth, global contract negotiations and new solution development worldwide. This role is also responsible for collaborating with all domestic and international sales organizations, organizational recruiting, management development and strategic developmental within the global marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring and managing Global Account Sales Managers, Global Sales Representatives
  • Profit & Loss responsibility for the Global sales force
  • Provide subject matter expertise in positioning, selling and implementing global applications
  • Assist in identification of Global opportunities with local sales representatives and sales managers
  • Achieve and exceed Global revenue and product mix sales goals
  • Develop strategic plan with Global Account Managers and regional management to penetrate Global and Target accounts
  • Contribute to business planning by positioning products as a part of the overall ergonomic solution
  • Responsible for developing sales action plans for major accounts in each region with representatives
  • Weekly sales appointments and presentations with end-user, dealer, and A&D accounts
  • Complete sales activity and opportunity reports as well as maintaining customer contact database
  • Facilitate training and CEU credits for prospective customers, sales reps and managers
  • Perform competitive analysis, gather marketing information on customer use and needs for input into development of new products and programs
  • Participate in office sales meetings, project updates and training sessions

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess 3–5 years of successful Global sales management experience
  • Candidate will have 5+ years business sales experience
  • Strong understanding of all of Humanscale’s products, including task seating, keyboards, monitor arms, task lighting, CPU holders and other ergonomic work tools
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
  • Successful track record of planning and execution of corporate goals
  • Working knowledge of MS OFFICE and associated applications are required
  • Ability for overnight travel regionally 60%+

 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Solid understanding of ergonomic principles, a MUST
  • Knowledge and/or experience in office furniture or related industry, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Highly motivated, with aggressive follow-up and closing skills
