Humanscale is a looking for an intelligent and organized individual to assist with our marketing department for the summer of 2017. This person should be able to work independently and part of the team to participate in various projects across the various stages of print and online marketing. 


Intern should be prepared to work in fast-paced environment and be able to think quickly and intuitively. They will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing.



This role will support projects and initiatives for digital, marketing, communications and branding teams:

  • Assist on maintenance of internal and external marketing tools
  • Help organize and manage content library
  • Support daily operations




  1. Problem Solving- Identifying and resolving problems in a time critical manner; developing alternative solutions; logical thinking and quick resolution skills.
  2. Judgment- Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions; has a professional approach to decision making.
  3. Efficiency/Organization- Remains organized in all daily tasks
  4. Attendance/Punctuality- Consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at all meetings on time when applicable.
  5. Initiative- Volunteers readily; shows interest in growth and creates opportunities.
  6. Attention to Detail- Carefully performs all tasks with minimal mistakes in a timely manner; double checks own work prior to submission
  7. Other skills and competencies will be required for additional projects and duties given by management




To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.




  1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  2. Excellent time management skills.
  3. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  4. Experience with content management and email marketing systems.
  5. Professional decision making and problem solving skills.
  6. Demonstrated aptitude for learning about new products and processes.
  7. Interest in architecture, interior design and furniture design.





  1. Undergraduate Student, Sophomore through Senior
  2. Majoring in marketing, advertising, and/or communications
