    Overview

    The A & D Representative Healthcare position is an overlay sales support role responsible for developing A&D relationships to increase ergonomic awareness within the design community and drive new business opportunities for Humanscale Healthcare sales professionals.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify project activity at the design firm level early in the design process
    • Communicate project activity in team strategy sessions to insure appropriate design firm involvement
    • Drive product specifications through A&D firms and manage until order is secured
    • Train designers on ergonomic solutions for their Healthcare prospects and customers
    • Achieve and exceed project activity, design specification, and office sales goals
    • Completing project activity and specification tracker reports and maintain design firm contact list
    • Involvement and coordination of industry events, Hedge Seminars and build the Humanscale brand
    • Strong understanding of all of Humanscale’s products, including task seating, keyboard supports, flat panel monitor arms, task lighting, CPU holders, ViewPoint, TouchPoint and HealthPoint  
    • Effectively work with other Humanscale personnel to exceed sales goals
    • Coordinate design events and entertain clients on a monthly basis
    • Facilitate presentations for prospective customers

    Qualifications

    • Solid understanding of corporate design
    • Experience in working with and selling to Hospitals
    • Candidate will have 3-5+ years business sales experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
    • Successful track record of planning, execution and networking
    • Working knowledge of MS OFFICE and associated applications are required
    • Ability for overnight travel 75%
    • Education in design or design related fields
    • Knowledge and/or experience in office furniture or related industry, a plus
    • Be an enthusiastic and active member of local professional organizations
    • Excellent written and verbal
    • Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
    • Aggressive follow-up and closing skills
    • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to do repetitive bending and stretching
    • Must be able to transport company product in personal vehicle
    • Candidate must have adequate and dependable transportation to travel to and from customer site
    • Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
    • Must be able to drive throughout the workday
