Overview

The Digital Marketing & Communications Director is responsible for growing the Humanscale brand and sales through creative digital marketing and communications. This includes conceiving and implementing digital marketing, digital communications, and customer analytics strategy company-wide.  The role also encompasses, but is not limited to managing websites, PR, internal communications, apps, social media, customer database management, SEO, online conversion, and PPC strategies.  The Digital Marketing & Communications Director also drives direct to consumer marketing efforts and manages a team of digital marketers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall digital strategy for Humanscale brand & product launches
  • Manage a digital team & work with key cross-functional partners
  • Optimize Humanscale website for B2B leads & consumer conversions
  • Plan, coordinate and execute pay-per-click campaigns; continually evaluating and adjusting campaigns to maximize ROI
  • Identify and implementSEO techniques; researching and recommending new keywords and negative keywords; offering insights on how to best incorporate keywords into web copy
  • Drive Social Media content strategy and management of implementation & lead team to leverage social media outlets to maximize inbound traffic
  • Work with communications team to develop effective landing pages
  • Analyze data for trends, anomalies and patterns, and making recommendations for improvements
  • Manage and source digital marketing agencies
  • Conduct customer data analysis & segmentation
  • Lead communications team to develop email marketing strategies; preparing, testing and scheduling all email campaigns
  • Analyze email campaign results; developing reports to determine their effectiveness and strategies for improvement
  • Interact with International marketing team and influence international social media, communications, and digital marketing strategy.
  • Stay current with related trends, developments and best practices
  • Report direct to CMO and take on leadership role as owner of all digital marketing

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Social Media, SEO, PPC, and email marketing at a mid-to large-sized company
  • Thorough understanding of related best practices and methodologies
  • History of producing quantifiable results
  • Workable knowledge of HTML and CSS, especially in the context of email marketing
  • Working knowledge of Dreamweaver and experience with CMSs and ESPs
  • Proficiency in SEO and pay-per-click management, reporting and analytical tools – Google Analytics and online tools.
  • Experience with lead generation and integration of CRM platforms into lead management tools.
  • Hands-on experience in email and landing page design
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and ability to work independently
  • MBA a plus

 Additional Skills

  • Experience marketing to both B2B and B2C audiences a PLUS
  • Understanding of Photoshop a PLUS
  • Copywriting skills and blogging experience a PLUS
  • Experience or familiarity with ergonomic concepts, the contract furniture industry, commercial interior design, or green building/sustainability practices a PLUS
