    Overview

    The Regional Sales Director for Humanscale Technology (HT) is primarily responsible for sales of HT products across the Eastern or Western US and Canada territories. This individual also has responsibility for training Humanscale salespeople on the products and related subject matter expertise required for sales success along with strategic sales leadership and support with specific sales opportunities. Additionally, the role will consist of supporting the local sales effort of adding Computer Resellers (VARs) to resell HT products.

    Responsibilities

    • Primary responsibility is for exceeding sales goals in the Regional Territory
    • Provide subject matter expertise in positioning, selling and implementing HT products
    • Provide market intelligence, leadership and feedback to executive and design team on future product development concepts
    • Develop strategic plan with HT Managing Director and regional management to penetrate Global and other large accounts
    • Contribute to business planning by positioning products as a part of the overall ergonomic solution
    • Responsible for developing sales action plans for major accounts in each region with representatives
    • Weekly sales appointments and presentations with end-users, dealers, A&D accounts and VARs
    • Complete sales activity and opportunity reports as well as maintaining customer contact database
    • Facilitate HT product training for prospective customers, sales reps and managers
    • Effectively work with HT Managing Director, Sales Managers and reps
    • Perform competitive analysis, gather marketing information on customer use and needs for input into development of new products and programs
    • Participate in office sales meetings, project updates and training sessions
    • Facilitate and launch new products

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must possess 5 - 7 years of successful commercial sales experience.
    • Candidate must have an aptitude and understanding of the technical aspects of IT products
    • Candidate will have 5+ years business sales experience
    • Bachelor's degree is required.
    • Successful track record of planning and execution of corporate goals
    • Working knowledge of MS OFFICE and associated applications are required
    • Ability for overnight travel regionally 75%+

     

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Solid understanding of ergonomic principles, a plus.
    • Knowledge and/or experience in office furniture or related industry, a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal skills
    • Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
    • Highly motivated, with aggressive follow-up and closing skills
