    Overview

    The Demand Planner’s role is critical to operations and working with Sales and Product Management teams. With minor supervision, the primary responsibility is to develop, implement and maintain the demand management process that support sales forecast for Humanscale’ s Global and National Accounts. This role serves as a hands-on position that is responsible for developing and executing a demand plan to enable the company to meet sales and customer service objectives.  You will work closely with Sales, Planning & Scheduling, and Product Directors.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain a refined “by-customer” (Global/National accts), by item forecast plan using Sales intelligence – collaborating with each Sales Acct Rep that enables you to drive expected results that will delight the customer.
    • Analyze historical sales data by product line to establish future monthly sales forecast utilizing INFOR – ERP system.
    • Lead and provide leadership in the monthly SOIP Demand meetings with Sales and Operations teams. Coordinating with 3 major product line Planning Managers to ensure future inventory and production plans are agreeable and executable.
    • Act as POINT of CONTACT for the Global/National acct escalation requirements between operations, sales and customer service to improve the customer delight experience and meet their required customer order ship dates.
    • Build and maintain strong relations with stakeholders including sales leadership, master data, customer service leadership and supply planning colleagues to resolve customer related issues.
    • Identify CRM opportunities, lead discussion with sales management and decision-making process to determine if supply planning action is required to ensure meeting customer due dates.
    • Lead continuous improvement of demand management process to drive greater forecast accuracy in support of achieving operations/commercial objectives for customer service.
    • Support forecasting for projects and new product introduction initiatives.
    • Measure and improve forecast accuracy and forecast bias.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
    • 5+ years’ experience in developing forecast and demand plans in CPG, or furniture production environments.
    • Demonstrated ability of individual who can work autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and sometimes ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.
    • This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills are essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
    • Experience with Syteline, INFOR or equivalent ERP systems.
