    Overview

    The operations project manager is responsible for managing strategic projects that deliver world class operational processes. The manager must be able to communicate with the team members, production employees, as well as senior leaders and management. They should be organized, able to meet deadlines and budgetary requirements.  Must be able to lead regular meetings and give progress reports.

    We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as a Project Manager with a proven ability to work with large and diverse teams, a willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment, and an outstanding work ethic.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze data to develop and recommend operational improvement projects
    • Develop project plans including scope, resources, timing, and budget
    • Cross-functional leader for project teams from initiation through post launch review
    • Ensure projects launch according to timeline, budget, and operational requirements
    • Set challenging team goals and ensure best practices are used to attain these goals
    • Resolve cross-functional and inter-personal conflicts between team members and divisions.
    • Drive team debate/discussion around key issues that determine best practice and process
    • Proactively challenge functions on delivery and alternative courses of action
    • Approve budgets, timelines, risk mitigation plans, and resources
    • Coordinate with groups including, quality, production (multiple sites), materials planning, scheduling, logistics, and sourcing
    • Implement lean philosophy into future operational processes

    Qualifications

    They should have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence teams across functions through their prior project deliver experience.  In addition, they should have a good understanding of the business and operations in order to make intelligent, business driven tradeoff decisions over the course of the project.

     

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and/or operations management
    • Understanding of mass production processes and experience working with overseas manufacturers
    • Experience in implementing lean manufacturing
    • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences through various media, including;
      • Clear and concise language
      • Digital image manipulation
      • Clear and professional emails
    • Ability to lift 60 pounds
    • Must be able to do repetitive bending and stretching
    • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) is a plus
