    Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of International Marketing to promote and grow our brand internationally in our key regional market areas of EMEA, APAC and LATAM. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this role will be responsible for managing Humanscale’s international marketing operations team as well as regional marketing teams in over 20 countries. While the position will ideally be based in the London (our largest International office), it requires global travel in order to interact with the regional marketing teams, country managers, partners and key customers. This role will be pivotal in applying and translating the corporate marketing direction into strategic marketing plans for international markets and driving the tactical execution across a variety of marketing functions for both online and offline marketing initiatives internationally.

     

    The ideal candidate will be a strong people manager and highly self-motivated, while demonstrating a positive attitude, a passion for great design, and the ability to work across functions in a fast-paced, results driven environment. The candidate must also possess international business acumen and understand how to successfully develop a brand in emerging markets in order to achieve strategic and operational business goals

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Work closely with the CMO, President of Humanscale International, and the Managing Director(s) of regional markets to create comprehensive marketing and communications strategies. This includes identifying key opportunities and implementing new initiatives to drive brand awareness and sales growth such as product campaigns, promotional events and identifying new paths to market.
    • In close collaboration with the CMO, create the ideal team structure for International Marketing to ensure successful management across multiple countries.
    • Manage a team of ~10 international marketers and work closely with the international sales leadership team to generate strategies and implement tactics to identify and take advantage of market opportunities.
    • Manage the development of regional sales and product marketing materials including, but not limited to, advertising collateral, brochures, sales presentations, press releases, event collateral, case studies and websites.
    • Oversee public relations and social media plans, ensuring the brand is consistent, yet locally relevant; positioning Humanscale as a thought leader in design and ergonomics by securing quality print and online media coverage.
    • Manage a variety of international tradeshow appearances, from design of the event space to the successful execution of all marketing elements.
    • Work closely with the Corporate Marketing team in the United States to create local events that stand out through innovation, thought leadership and attention to detail.
    • Represent the Marketing department at regional and international meetings.
    • Provide support on showroom branding for International locations e.g. branding of wall graphics.
    • Responsible for ad hoc International Marketing duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    Personal Skills & Attributes

     

    • 10+ years marketing experience with at least 5 years of at a senior level within a marketing, public relations or consulting company
    • Clearly demonstrated experience in designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns through multiple channels
    • Experience and familiarity across multiple disciplines of marketing; brand marketing, digital marketing, public relations, advertising communications and events
    • Strong commercial mindset with proven ability to manage budgets
    • Some experience marketing a physical product (as opposed to services, technology, etc.)
    • Excellent communications and collaboration skills
    • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
    • Self-starter with ability to work with globally-diverse team
    • Top-level college education desired, business school a plus
    • Contract furniture industry experience a plus
    • Must be able to travel 25-40% of the time
