    Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to focus on the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region to promote and grow our brand internationally in these key markets. Reporting to the Senior Director of International Marketing, this role will be responsible for managing Humanscale’s EMEA marketing team across more than10 countries. While the position will be based in the London (Humanscale’s largest International office), it will require regional travel in order to interact with various country managers, partners and key customers. This role will be pivotal in applying and translating the corporate marketing direction into strategic marketing plans for EMEA markets and driving the tactical execution across a variety of online and offline marketing initiatives in these countries.

     

    The ideal candidate will be a strong, strategic marketer and highly self-motivated, while demonstrating a positive attitude, passion for great design, and the ability to work across functions in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The candidate must also be a skilled people manager, possess international business acumen and understand how to successfully develop a brand in emerging markets in order to achieve strategic and operational business goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Work alongside the International Marketing Director, President of Humanscale International, and Country Managers to create and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies in the EMEA region
    • Work closely with the CMO and Corporate Marketing Team in the U.S. to align corporate marketing initiatives to regional needs.
    • Identify key opportunities and implement new initiatives to drive brand awareness and sales growth such as product campaigns, promotional events and new paths to market.
    • Manage a team of 3-4 international marketers and work closely with the international sales leadership team to identify and implement tactics to take advantage of market opportunities.
    • Manage the development of regional sales and product marketing materials including, but not limited to, advertisements, brochures, sales presentations, press releases, case studies and websites.
    • Oversee public relations for EMEA regions, ensuring the brand is consistent, yet locally relevant; position Humanscale as a thought leader in design and ergonomics by securing quality print and online media coverage; manage award entry for EMEA-specific opportunities
    • Manage a variety of EMEA tradeshow appearances, from design of the event space to the successful execution of all marketing elements.
    • Represent the Marketing Team at regional and international meetings.
    • Provide support on showroom branding for International locations. e.g. branding of wall graphics.
    • Manage EMEA Marketing Budget.
    • Responsible for ad hoc EMEA Marketing duties and respond to Sales Team marketing requests as needed.

    Qualifications

    • 6+ years marketing experience with at least 2+ years of leadership experience managing a team
    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
    • Clearly demonstrated experience in designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns through multiple channels
    • Experience and familiarity across multiple disciplines of marketing; brand marketing, digital marketing, public relations, advertising communications and events
    • Strong commercial mindset with proven ability to manage budgets
    • Must possess creative problem-solving abilities
    • Experience marketing a physical product preferred (as opposed to services, technology, etc.)
    • Excellent communications and collaboration skills
    • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
    • Self-starter with ability to work with globally-diverse, cross-cultural team
    • Contract furniture industry experience a plus
    • Foreign language skills a plus, especially languages applicable to EMEA markets
    • Must be able to travel 25-30% of the time
