Overview

Contract Specialist assists in managing contract administration and compliance process for all sales agreements and preparation and submission of RFPs/Bids/Proposals. Will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and timely execution of all contracts and proposals. 

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring they align with legal requirements and organizational policies.
  • Ensuring that contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, such as those related to ethics, data security, and environmental sustainability.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with contracts, such as financial risks, performance risks, and legal liabilities.
  • Managing contract execution, including obtaining necessary approvals, tracking contract milestones, and monitoring performance to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
  • Determining the need for contract renewals or amendments, renegotiating terms when necessary, and ensuring timely execution of changes.

  • Facilitating clear communication between stakeholders involved in the contract process, including legal, Accounting, Sales and other internal departments as needed.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve contract management processes, such as streamlining workflows, implementing new tools or technologies.
  • Liaise with several internal departments, Pricing/Account Set-up team, Credit Department, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Accounts Payable, IT and Sales.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFQ and RFIs.  (Requests for Pricing, Quotes and Information)
  • Provide support for development and continued improvement of Humanscale Compliance Program.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with high level executives.
  • Highly organized.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with GSA schedule compliance requirements, including required disclosures for modifications, renewal, and new proposals, as well as the Price Reductions clause, standard socio-economic provisions of government contracts, including the Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and Sub-contracting provisions a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, with working knowledge of Power Point and INFOR.
