Overview

As the subject matter expert for Humanscale’s Commercial sales channels and segments– the Director of Channel Marketing will drive the development and deployment of programs that generate demand and revenue. This role partners heavily with sales leaders representing Dealer, A&D, National Account, Global Account, and Government channels– to collaboratively develop programs to not only support the sales process, but also generate new leads leading to a highly optimized conversion funnel. A strong conceptual knowledge of B2B marketing and ABM principles and channel structures is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales groups to develop and drive key programs that generate demand and optimize various team’s sales efforts.
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing programs, campaigns, and initiatives for key channels in commercial sales.
  • Align with Sales Leadership to develop a prioritization structure that weighs business needs, impact, investment, and resource capacity.
  • Develop and measure progress against assigned channel budgets, and track ROI (return on investment) against sales channel performance.
  • Own the Humanscale Road Show program of events that transports exhibit-type content, parties, and programming to diverse markets and regions.
  • Develop programs to generate leads and drive conversions within the sales and marketing funnels utilizing a 360-degree marketing mix approach with an emphasis on decreasing customer acquisition cost (CAC), increasing return on advertising spend (ROAS), and maximizing the lifetime value (LTV) of the customer.
  • Conceptualize and drive the development of a segmented email newsletter program and content calender tailored to each unique audience leveraging resonant content.
  • Develop segmented channel programs to support the sales process at key junctures of an extended selling cycle that builds support for the Humanscale position across key stakeholder groups.
  • Develop best practices to drive RFP response and mockup opportunities.
  • Within the Humanscale Marketing department, own channel marketing programs through effective team briefings and project management to define resourcing requirements provided by in-house teams and external agencies.
  • Drive the advertising and paid media strategies in collaboration with Brand Marketing Team.
  • Partner with the Digital Operations team to ensure channel strategy is met through web content development, content upload management, and SEO.
  • Partner with Growth Marketing team as the channel SME to develop lead generation programs through effective content marketing tactics, email journeys, and CRM form integrations.
  • Create strategic briefings in partnership with the Creative Services team and/or agency resources detailing assigned channel portfolios asset requirements, including photo shoots, renderings, animations, slide decks, retail acquisition documents, shop-in-shop concepts, social media content, etc.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Product Management teams on development of touchpoints, platforms, and tools that support the channel portfolio’s needs.
  • Drive the regional pop-up booth calendar for the channel portfolio.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience, with a strong understanding of the contract furniture market, including key players, distribution channels, and customer segments.
  • Ability to translate product expertise into workable marketing tactics that meet business goals.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive data-driven decision-making, measuring effectiveness of investments to pivot, optimize, and scale.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Design, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and executive leadership.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; can effectively convey complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Results-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

 

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Working Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop a plus.
  • Working Knowledge of Figma a plus.

Salary Range: $120,358 - $175,555

Humanscale considers other factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market location and business considerations when extending an offer.
