Supplier Quality Engineer

The Supplier Quality Engineer  will be responsible for assuring Humanscale's product quality, improving manufacturing process and working closely with the supplier in solving the technical and quality problems within Asia regions. The ideal candidate for this position must be a passionate and proactive engineer with strong knowledge in quality system and solid experience in metal stamping, aluminum die casting/extrusion and/or plastic injection process. This position will work with both internal and external business partners to establish continuous quality improvement system and ensure supplier quality performance is up to corporate standard.

• Work closely with the contract manufacturers to monitor and set up production / assembly lines in Asia for consistent quality output, manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) process, including the determination of requirements and assurance of on-time completion.
• Support supply chain and NPI activities to in Asia Pacific regions especially China for future growth.
• Identify and correct on-going supplier quality problems through systematic analysis and subsequent recommendations to improve their product and process quality.
• Partner with Asia's sourcing team to perform supplier audit, performance assessment as well as quality system set-up with Asia's suppliers and carry out inspections at manufacturing sites (if applicable).
• Trial product samples coming from different development phases  (especially within the End user simulated environment), to look for bugs, suggest problem shooting & design improvement
• Provide quality tool training to business partner and lead/facilitate the continuous improvement process.

• Degree holder in Quality Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years plus experience in quality management position, exposure in various manufacturing processes are essential.
• Technically well underlain QA engineer with project management skill.
• Familiar with various root-cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g.8D, PPAP, PFMEA) , must possess ability to investigate and debug product quality problems and offer solutions / alternatives.
• Familiar with Quality management system like ISO9001/IATF 16949/ISO14001, auditor certificates will be an advantage.
• Ability to develop Finish Goods testing procedure and scrip in writing
• Ability to work against tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English & Chinese Mandarin
• Green belt / Black belt Certificates will be an advantage
