Manufacturing Engineer Intern

• Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production and other worker operations.
• Assist and determines most practical and effective means of augmenting a realistic routing of work through the plant.
• Developing and maintaining accurate standards for procedures and/or products.
• Implement lean methods to eliminate waste, and improve value stream of processes
• Lead and support continuous improvement activities, conduct mapping the process, and evaluate value stream of process activities. 
• Responsible for driving the continuous improvement of products and processes using appropriate Lean and problem solving techniques.
• Assists Manufacturing Engineers.
• Writes assembly instructions for production lines
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum two (2) years into Mechanical, Industrial, or Packaging Engineering curriculum.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with any CAD software (3D a plus)
• Computer programming skills a plus
