ROLE OVERVIEW

The President of Sales - International will be responsible for implementing change and executing the International sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Identify target markets and analyze industry trends. Define action plans for the International team overall down to individual reps to increase market share by adding new customers, increasing the range of products existing customers purchase, and building deeper and wider relationships with A+D firms that specify our products.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing International sales team. Ensure all team members know and use our standard messaging which is laid out in our Story Book. Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture that empowers individuals to meet and exceed sales targets, while ensuring a customer-centric approach.
  • Sales tactics and strategy have changed dramatically post covid. Ensure all sales team members embrace these changes which include using corporate resources (topic experts) for all important opportunities, using slide decks to tell our product stories rather than physical products and fully utilizing CRM.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Utilize market intelligence to identify untapped opportunities, anticipate challenges, and adapt the sales strategy accordingly.
  • Engage with key clients, participate in high-level negotiations, and address customer feedback to build lasting, strategic partnerships. Ensure that customer satisfaction remains a top priority across all sales activities.
  • Work with the Finance Director – International to develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize margin generation while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums as a thought leader in the office furniture domain. Enhance the organization's reputation and brand recognition on an International scale.

Qualifications

 

  • Substantial experience (10+ years) of operating in senior leadership positions across multiple continents
  • Demonstrated success of achieving ambitious sales targets and driving strong revenue growth
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate remote teams
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel Internationally frequently
