Overview

The Compensation Analyst will report to the Manager, Compensation for Humanscale and be responsible for assisting in the organization’s sales compensation calculations, processing, and communication.  Works in a team setting to ensure accurate and timely payment calculations.  The position will be responsible for responding to and researching inquiries from the sales organization in a timely manner. In addition, this position will have close collaboration with the sales and finance teams on sales analysis, goal planning and annual compensation plan design. 

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a compensation Business Partner to Commercial and International Sales.
  • Calculates monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual employee bonus and commission payments per compensation plans and results.
  • Monitors plan effectiveness and communicates this feedback to sales management and executives.
  • Proactively researches and resolves sales employees’ compensation issues.
  • Calculates Royalty and Rep Group compensation payments.
  • Analyzes existing compensation/payroll policies and procedures and makes recommendations to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Works effectively across teams within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Analyzes compensation trends to support business retention and growth.
  • Works closely with IT Developers on all aspects of sales tools.  Ensures that the systems, tools, and processes are in place to make it easy to run monthly compensation.
  • Maintains up to date procedural documentation.
  • Participate in Ad hoc projects, reporting and analysis, and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ experience in sales compensation/payroll or related field a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task and meet deadlines in a fluid, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality while requiring minimal supervision.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Must be proficient with MS Excel. Experience with macros is a plus but not required.
