Overview

The logistics admin will be prioritizing the cargo shipments, have constant customer and vendor communication to provide updates, handle import/export process and obtain/process necessary documents.  In addition, this Logistics Clerk will be responsible for all freight-forwarding activities and ensuring necessary C-TPAT regulations and guidelines are being met.

Responsibilities

  • Receives all inbound material, equipment and supplies; posts receipts into the Humanscale ERP system.
  • Ship all outbound shipments for Customer Orders, intercompany transfers or OSP, physically and within the Humanscale ERP system.
  • Completes all outbound shipment documentation, preparing packets for driver signature.
  • Interacts with carriers; schedules inbound/outbound shipments and local deliveries.
  • Reconciles inbound deliveries against purchase orders, packing lists and physical count. Ensures documentation matches shipment and is tendered to the appropriate carrier.
  • Completing receipts for returns from customers / Re-ships returns as instructed by QA.
  • Determines receiving/shipping priorities against productions schedules.
  • Prepares Bills of Lading and monitors outbound shipments.
  • Prepares required department records and reports.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 12 to 24 months of related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 2 years in a logistics position and or international shipping experience
  • Shipping and receiving experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., computer, copier, fax, and telephone)
  • Prolonged standing and walking up to eight (8) hours.
  • Lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with staff.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
