Overview

The Retail Point of Sale Account Representative is responsible for market development and sales growth within Humanscale’s new Point of Sale product line. The representative will be responsible for growing revenue from Humanscale’s existing customer bases as well as growing market share with new customers. Meeting or exceeding a targeted sales and activity goal is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in positioning, selling, and implementing Humanscale Point of Sale Products.
  • Achieve and exceed sales operating plans and quarterly/annual sales goals.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow current accounts and prospect new targets.
  • Develop sales action plans for major accounts in each region.
  • Complete sales activity and opportunity reports as well as maintain customer contact database.
  • Effectively work cross-functionally and advocate for Point of Sale accounts with Humanscale Sales and Marketing teams, Product Managers, and Customer Service/Operational teams.
  • Perform competitive analysis; gather marketing information on customer use and needs for input into development of new products, policies, and programs.
  • Participate in office sales meetings, project updates and training sessions.
  • Assist in facilitating and launching new Point of Sale products, as well as supporting existing product assortment.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Humanscale Commercial sales team to ensure marketplace selling and to ensure customer or distribution channel issues are minimized.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess 5 - 7 years of successful sales and marketing experience with similar Point of Sale product offerings inclusive of new business development.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent career experience) is required.
  • Ability to arrange overnight travel 50%+ in the US and Canada; valid passport and driver’s license required.
  • A minimum of 9-12 client meetings per week is expected while travelling. During weeks at the home office, a minimum of 9-12 online clients meeting and/or telephone meetings is expected.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal skills, including creative problem-solving abilities. Experience presenting proposals to clients and stakeholders.     
  • Previous success negotiating terms and conditions with clients.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in sales applications within Point-of-Sale space strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of ergonomic principles.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience using CRM systems for account management and regional business activities.

Salary Range: $68,695.41 - $100,199.63

In addition to the salary there is a bonus variable component. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline. Humanscale considers other factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market location and business considerations when extending an offer.
