Overview

The Showroom Manager is responsible for providing a flawless showroom experience for both Humanscale personnel who work in the showroom and the clients who visit the showroom. It’s an administrative role that should ensure client, customer, and company satisfaction.  The right candidate needs to be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and hospitable.        

Enthusiastic

This is an internal and external client-facing role, where you will provide assistance, support, and services to your colleagues and also to clients alike. You should always be enthusiastic at everything you do, answering a call, opening the door, welcoming guests, always demonstrating a high level of interest and eagerness in the tasks at hand.

Knowledgeable

You will learn to have a good knowledge of how all our products work and general knowledge of workplace office ergonomics

Be able to answer basic product questions (prices, finishes, fabric options, etc.).

Hospitable

You should be friendly and welcoming to visitors at all times, always smiling and accommodating to all their needs (wi-fi code info, offering drinks, storing handbags, luggage, and jackets).

Responsibilities

  • Showroom opening and closing duties
  • Maintains cleanliness of the showroom at all times
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the showroom & office space
  • Manage Contractors and Suppliers Contracts
  • Event Management
  • Showroom Facility Management
  • Admin assistance for sales team members – e.g. client order entry and processing
  • Bring forward new ideas, initiatives, and improvements of existing functions.
  • Continually develop an understanding of the company’s culture, products, ethical initiatives, and other areas of the business, and reflect this in everyday performance.
  • Keeping up to date with trends in the relevant furniture market.

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities, and the ability to work efficiently, independently, and in a team environment.
  • Clear concise communication and customer focus skills demonstrating an ability to adjust behaviour to handle different clients. Making the effort to understand customer ‘s and team’s needs.
  • Commitment to delivering maximum service quality, empathy, showing individual attention, customer care, and personal involvement.
