Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced QC Inspector. The position performs inspections of incoming raw material based on technical drawings, conducts in depth warehouse audits and product line audits.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections at incoming, in-process and final inspections
  • Read and interpret specifications and part prints
  • Perform root cause analysis and monitor corrective actions of inspection findings
  • Communicate with external suppliers via email and reporting software
  • Determine disposition of non-conforming material
  • Initiate Non-Conformance reports as required
  • Collaborate  with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions
  • Communicate with engineers to ensure drawings and specifications are in compliance with the final product
  • Develop inspection criteria per inspection plans and specification requirements
  • Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs; log non-conformities and generate monthly reports
  • Perform special inspection requests at the discretion of the engineers
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector a plus but not required
  • At least 2 years’ experience in quality in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with common measurement tools (i.e., calipers, micrometer, radius gauges), and knowledge of basic hand tools a plus
  • Must be able to read blueprints/technical drawings
  • Knowledge of ISO standards a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) required
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to lift 25lbs regularly
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
