Overview

Responsible for reviewing data integrity and completeness of the company's complaints and returns data collection system. Capture, record, and analyze various data related to departmental performance. Strive to assist the Quality department in preparing reports, graphical analysis, and other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare analysis and reports as assigned or requested. Adhere to format, content, and style guidelines, considering usability and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Research data for validity by researching product history in an internal database and ERP system.
  • Maintain department records/files as required.
  • Distribute materials, reports, etc. to various interoffice departments. Duplicate and reproduce reports and materials for the department.
  • Ensure complaints lodged against the product have all pertinent information. Interface with customer service, sales representatives, and customers to acquire all required information.
  • Classify complaints based on levels of priority. Should be able to close out complaints of low priority and escalate high-priority complaints to assigned engineers within the quality department.
  • Monitor evaluation data of returned goods and ensure complete documentation is followed as per established standard procedures.
  • Under the guidance of the manager, refine complaints data into meaningful statistics/information; with summarized analysis to enable management review of product and process performance.
  • Be conscious of complaints being reviewed and proactively look for trends in data and report to the manager accordingly.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve processes and product performance based on observed field failures.
  • Communicate needs and requests to other team members as appropriate.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience is desired, but not required.
  • Familiar with simple statistics tools and math skills to estimate numerical data.
  • Experience in an admin/support services role, with experience in data analysis is desired.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills with the ability to communicate engineering concepts to non-engineers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and thrives in a team environment.
  • Exercise initiative, achievement, and independent judgment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Hourly Rate Range: $25.14  - $36.67
