Overview

 

The Product Engineering Manager is responsible for the effective overall management of Humanscale products that are in the production lifecycle phase. 

Responsibilities

  • Leads, mentors, and develops a team of engineers while fostering a high-performance and innovative work environment
  • Establishes clear goals and objectives that are aligned with the company’s strategic vision
  • Manages engineering changes to existing products and communicates changes to all stakeholders
  • Ensures that technical drawings/specifications are appropriately created and maintained
  • Provides support for the maintenance of items and bills of material in the ERP system
  • Identifies opportunities for cost reductions and coordinates initiatives across cross-functional teams to achieve savings
  • Provides technical support to customers, sales, and customer service personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Ensures the manufacturability of new and existing products during the product design and development process
  • Supports the continuous improvement of existing products by analyzing data trends and implementing changes as needed
  • Coordinates with vendors and suppliers regarding technical specifications and product requirements
  • Provides engineering support to resolve problems on the production floor and/or at customer sites
  • Manages other Engineers within Humanscale manufacturing locations
  • Oversees the design of customized solutions of existing products to meet customers’ special order requests
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Engineering discipline (Mechanical preferred)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in an Engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience
  • Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Able to direct and lead others to produce desired results
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and techniques commonly employed in the design and production of company products
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills with the ability to communicate engineering concepts to non-engineers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and thrives in a team environment
  • Exercise initiative, achievement, and independent judgment

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient using 3D CAD modeling software (i.e., Solidworks)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, especially Oracle and Infor, is highly desirable

Salary Range: $98.594.56-$143,810.77
